Vela Ventures. (1994 - Present)

Information Management.

Developed a custom "What is XML?" presentation. This was 4-hour presentation whose objective was to allow the customer to speak knowledgably about all facets of XML and it uses without going deeply into the design details.

Performed numerous problem solving tasks for Microsoft Office applications. Built a customer database with Access emphasizing non North America names and locations. Built a dual language Web Site using MS Front Page.

Windmill-Intl. (1998 - Present)

Information Management.

Rebuilt a calendar interface to Microsoft Outlook/Exchange Server for a specific customer application using an existing application as a starting point.

Designed and built a Web based letter log including search and report capabilities (over 3000 letters). Developed an Excel front end for data entry personnel to this database. Used Java Script for data validation on the client (Internet Explorer and Netscape) and Visual Basic Script on Server (Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS)). The database storage was MS Access. When the Air Force decided to implement Livelink as their only information management tool, developed an Excel front end to move the legacy information from this database directly into the Oracle database used by Livelink by passing the Livelink application itself. Designed and built Excel front ends for viewing and updating the Oracle and SQL Server databases used by Livelink. (This user loves Excel.)

Upgraded an existing personnel database in Access with new capabilities and Web interfaces. The Personnel Office for initial data entry uses an Access interface. Web interfaces provide employess the ability to update their own personal information
